Study Participants Wanted!

If you are a UK based dog owner, we need your help! Please click the green button bellow to tell us all about your experiences with dog walking equipment.

We’re interested in what equipment you use with your dog, what you’ve tried, what you like and what you don’t! There are so many options, but so little science to help guide dog owners on the best choice for their dog. And we know dog owners LOVE to find out what makes our dogs tick, and how to make sure we’re keeping them healthy and happy!

Our lead clinical behaviourist River is undertaking this research as part of a wider PhD project on the topic of walking equipment (harnesses, head collars, collars etc) and looking to gather the opinions and experiences of as many dog owners as possible across the UK. Participation in the questionnaire is welcome and encouraged from all kinds of owners, of all kinds of dog from all kinds of backgrounds!

River is also looking to recruit 100 dogs to come the university and be filmed strutting their stuff in both their own equipment and some other pieces of equipment provided by us. More information on this is available at the end of the questionnaire, but the overarching aim is to learn more about whether equipment design influences the way dogs move and behave! You can volunteer your dog to become a canine scientist by joining our mailing list at the end of the questionnaire.

For more information on this study please feel free to contact river at river.mcdonald@sruc.ac.uk.
